Nagano Ski Trip 2006
« on: October 21, 2005, 06:01:35 PM »
When : February 3rd, 4th and 5th
Where : The Lady Di and St Georges Pension, Hakuba, Nagano
Costs :

YETI Members: 13,500
Non-members:  14,000
The price includes:
* Two nights accommodation (Fri & Sat night)
* Two breakfasts (Sat, Sun)
* Saturday night dinner
* plus one lift ticket!!!!
Ski/snow board 1800yen/2800 yen for 1/2 days.

Well, its the annual YETI ski trip. Basically, its in Hakuba which was used for the 1998 winter olympics. My sources tell me that its one of the best skiing resorts in japan. We will be travelling up on the friday night and skiing on the Saturday and Sunday.

The Pension is centrally located for all your skiing/snowboarding needs. So there are slopes for the alberto tombas and slopes for those who spend more time on their backside than actually going anywhere. I'll let you guess which category i fall into......

Directions for the hostel can be found at  http://www.e-snow.jp/e/access.html

and the english website for the hostel is  http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/viewhotel.php?hotid=22
check out the photos of last years event too !!!!

Honestly, even if you don't snowboard or ski - this is the BEST YETI event of the year. Don't miss this one guys - mark it down!
No, I'm serious - I can have no interference.

Aren't all our events the best.

I'm torn between skiing or snowboarding. last time i went snowboarding i  had to chase my snowboard but it dissapeared down the ski lift gully.. ooops

as for skiing, i keep having to do a dying cockroach impression everytime i stack it.....

i guarantee we'll be black and blue at school on the monday.

hahahaha.. i remember that..
i remember you running after the snowboard, then realising that the snowboard was gaining speed. then you slowed down and finally just walked. at this point i think i collasped laughing and hugging my snowboard.

oh god.. i am so high on the different pills i am popping in my mouth. cough syrup rules.

sachi,

all the costs that adam has found at the moment are up. don't forget that you must get your own food on friday.

when i did finally did get to eat (after a slight tyre issue), the food was good and plentiful. Nothing was skimped on at all.

Man, i remeber going up the ski lift and seeing him stuck in the netting near the ski lifts

when we followed his trail, he missed a tree by 2 feet and skimmed a lift support... the hills of hakuba resounded with my laughing

I wanna go this year.  I still remember hearing about the insanity of last year...before you even GOT to the ski resort.  I don't know yet if I want to attempt skiing.  I've been once in my life...a long time ago in a land far far away....

But I can hang out at the lodge and give people sympathetic looks and massages!

Gee Sachi, will you hold my hand if I get scared? J/K :-o

What happens when you stick a Virginian in the snow?  She turns a paler shade of purplish blue.

I'll see how energetic and courageous I feel.  With everyone dashing off I may attempt my 2nd time skiing.  Let's see...the last time I went skiing I was all of 10...maybe I weigh more now and won't go flying so fast across the snow.
