Sachi's motorsport Calender. (Schedule PAGE 1) UPDATED!
« on: November 08, 2005, 11:03:33 AM »
Hey boys and girls
Well if you spend more than 5 or 10 minutes in conversation with me, you'll most likely realise im completly crazy about motorsport. I try to attend as many events as possible. alot of the events I attend are pretty awesome, even if you know very little about cars/bikes and racing. If you want to check out an event heres a list of official events. I also try and head to alot of unorganised (not so legal ) meetings, so if youre interested in anything drop a line or send a PM.

Sach

     20-21/10 - Round 7 D1 Grand Prix
                     @ Fuji Speedway.

    18-19/11 - Winter Drift Matsuri
                     @ Ebisu Circuit

    26 / 11   -  Nismo Festival
                     @ Fuji Speedway

    03 / 12   -  Toyota Festival
                     @ Fuji Speedway

    12-14/01 - Autosalon Tokyo
                     @ Makuhari Messe

OK UPDATED LIST. NEXT EVENT D1 GRAND PRIX @ Fuji Speedway
The next event is the d1 round in Fuji Speedway. Amazing facility, this time hoping for some great weather! Fuji Drift is always spectacular!

Fuji Speedway: The closest thing to Yamanashi's own circuit. Just accross the border into Shizuoka, this track is about 2 - 3 hours from the centre of Yamanashi. One of the best tracks and newest in Japan. Facilities are absolutly amazing.

Suzuka Circuit: Located in Mie-ken, its about 4 - 6 hours from Yamanashi -ken. This circuit is the home of the Japan formula One so the facilities are quite amazing. unfortunetly have not been yet so cannot comment from personal experience.

Ebisu Circuit: The natural home of Drifting. This is where it all began. This track is located in Fukushima prefecture and requires half a day to travel there from Yamanashi. facilities are really quite poor as this is a grass roots level facility. In the middle of no where. It does have a safari park attached to it though.

Makuhari Messe - A large convention centre in Chiba where all Tokyo's premiere events are held.

hrmm it depends what youre after, if youre just in it to for a good time, you cant go past the drifitng, heaps of smoke, heaps of noise its great. But drifting is a little bit out of the way at the moment, the journey to the Tsukuba event will be interesting.

The parts bazaar is really for people that want to buy something for there cars, ie stereo, speakers, turbocharger. Bit of a drive too.

The others are like car shows, so yeah lots of pretty cars. Take you pic, the calender will be updated very soon, Im getting some more drifitng events for the calender.

Bring on the drifting....it is new stuff to me.

Well anyone can enter a drift event provided you have a helmet, I assume its the same for small track events, gymkhanas etc. Although my cresta or your caldina is gonna look a little strange i think, hahaha

Ill try and get one sorted very shortly. I know I went to this one in Machida somewhere, wasnt really go karting but was heaps of fun. They were drift carts, really crazy!! Its indoor and the surface is similar to a bball court, polished floors, then theres like a fine layer of sand or dirt on it to make it really slippery, so these karts just slip and slide everywhere, its so much fun. We should put that on the calender too.

Both, My drifter karts are slow but they are heaps of fun, well unless you trying not to drift!, thats actually pretty hard.
But yeah I love fast karts too, Ill find out where they are all at, although fun karts are a littl emore viable coming into winter.

Um machida is the city below Costco area, so its not too far, I think we could make a day trip out of something down there.

Well if you not going to the JLPT theres always the Nismo festival.

I go to Machida every Sunday. It is in Western Tokyo about 2 and a half hours from Kofu by local trains. Take the Chuo to hachioji and then the jump on the Yokohama sen. You can Also get there via the Keo sen but I don't know how.
