Tuesday night Gaming (Now on Wednesdays!)
« on: January 30, 2007, 11:19:06 AM »
Okay, this is just intended for a few posters on the board, but I don't have a lot of internet time so instead of PMs to everyone, I'll just post this here and hope everyone sees it.

Tonight's game is on, unless any of you have some reason to cancel it!

I'm still coming, though I reckon I will have to leave a little earlier than usual. Maybe 8pm or there abouts.

Though I'm not in it, concider me that random half-orc barbarian NPC that joins the group....  his name is Dug-dug.

Okay, the game for tomorrow (2/6) is on as far as I know.  Time to mop up some rebel scum.

Tonight's game is on, although Josh can't come.

We can play Paul's classic D&D game, or level up your characters, whichever you like.

Yeah, sorry about not being able to make it tonight guys. I was looking forward to the game.
Unfortuanately Makimi and some friends made plans for us all to go out to dinner.  She asked a few weeks ago if I would be on the 13th but she never mentioned what day the 13 was. I assumed it was a weekend.
By the time I realized the mistake the plans had been made.

I'm assuming this is just a one shot and Dor's presence will not be required. If it is, go ahead and use him.

Either way, I want Trumpy quotes!

-Dor/Vanishing spirit/ whatever the hell that other characters name who got fried by the wizzard's fireballs  in the last game was.
Go Dumples!

Actually, I thought we were playing at my place, just Paul's game.  I'll double check with him, though.  :)

Okay, tomorrow's session will be devoted to--

1.  Finishing up Paul's Classic D&D adventure from last week.

Josh, was gonna tell you about this on Sat. but you never called back.  Sorry.  We've got just a little bit more to explore in a goblin dungeon.  Your character didn't come along, so you might be a bit bored for a bit.

2.  Levelling up everyone's characters in my OA game.

There's not a lot of bells and whistles at level 5, but your reward for defeating the rebels includes your choice of cash or gear (or a mix, or some other valuables of your choice) so shopping for magical gear might take some time.

I think we can get it all done in one session, then next week we can start the next OA adventure.  :D

While that's up to Paul, since it took you longer to finish your level up last time (all those skill points!), maybe we should get you started on that while the rest of us finish up?  Not wanting to exclude you from the fun, but it could take a while.  :)

Neither Mark nor Josh can come tonight.  So the main game is off.

If everyone just wants to get together and play some boardgames, or Once Upon a Time, or whatever, let me know.

Otherwise I'll just have a quiet night with Eun Kyoung.

I am so exhausted today.  I went to sleep a little late which is part of it, but I couldn't fall asleep at all when I did go to bed.  Maybe tonight I should stay in and sleep.

Too bad though, we made some awesome rice krispy-like treats last night and Jacob was supposed to make more for tonight.  Maybe next time.

Tomorrow night, there's an enkai for my principal who is A: retiring, and B: just recovered from surgery to remove a tumor in his stomach.

So I'll be out drinking beer with my teachers tomorrow, so no game.  Sorry!

We'll have to pick up after everyone gets back from our various vacations.

If anyone wants to hang out at our place tonight, you are welcome.  We have Zombies and Frag or we could go rent a movie.  I saw a clip of Conan the Barbarian yesterday and I sort of want to watch that again, if it's available.

Unless anyone has any objections they haven't told me about, this week's game is on!  For the first time in a month!  Hope your d20's have gotten rusty during the break--you guys blew through that last encounter a lot easier than I'd planned...

Cool. I was just gonna PM you to see if it was on...
We been stuck in that crypt for ages.

I was a little rushed at the Yellow Submarine last week (I had about 10 minutes to catch a train), but I did manage to pick a few cool figures -including a new Hobak!

You know, back in my day, we used to have our characters die up hill barefoot through eight feet of snow battling purple worms...

Those were the days!

Additionally for Mark-- Atley doesn't know exactly how to get to Jacob and Michelle's, so we're gonna meet up at the McDonald's then head over there.  Should you, me and Paul all head up together?

That's what Paul and I were thinking.  But I don't have a car, so you two will have to janken to see who drives if we all go together.

So after the game last night, Mark, Paul and I were talking...

Would you guys be interested, likely just as a one-off session sometime, in a game like this:

[cue movie trailer narration voice] In a world ravaged by WMDs...  A wasteland terrorized by mutant beasts and marauding gangs...  Only one group can save humanity and end the chaos...   The Presidents of the United States of America!

Using the d20 Modern rules (mostly the same as our OA D&D game rules so it's familiar), each of us makes a character based on a cloned and mutated/psychic/cybernetic President (or other famous world leader) and battle it out with the forces of the post-apocalypse.

We'd likely need one session just to familiarize everyone with the Modern class system which is a bit different and make characters, then another session to play.

Of course, anyone else into RPGs that would be interested would be welcome to join as well!
