Hey people... I need your help as I have been dumb and my brain is not in the mood at the moment. Oh, and I need to steal soem of your experience too.

I need to find 5 songs that I can use for an English listening exercise that I will be doing with some motivated 1st year SHS students. What songs can you give me that are aimed at that level?

So far, I have come up with Bridge over troubled waters, Tainted love by soft cell.

Any others?

oh, and if you are feeling generous and have made a worksheet, I can take that too from you. But really, I just need song titles.

Thanks a bunch,

I do this with junnior high but they are challenging enough for high school.

Music bingo
Aerosmith- what it takes

Heather Nova- London rain (nothing heals me like you do)

Other saongs and atrists I have used;
Avril Laviegn- Complicated (Fill in the blanks)
Daniel Powter- Bad day (fill in the blanks)

Attachment 1: Music lessons- ideas and lyrics:
This is a list of songs I considered making lessons for. I wrote out my thoughts on each song as you can see. (Note that the Band Otis is STEVE OTIS. As in Aja's predacessor. If you want to check it out let me know and I can burn you a copy of his CD.)

Attachment 2: Music Bingo sheets for "Gravity" by Otis

Attachment 3: Misical fill in the blanks for "Bad day" by Daniel Powter

Hope this helps
