Morgado, welcome to the ken!

I have a spare bachelor fridge if you'd like to work something out. It's honestly only good for the casual male type with small kitchen needs. Also, I have a stake, former property of Vampire Hunter Rhee. Let me know.

A stake?  Does it have scripture inscribed into it?  If so, how much do you want for it?  I need it... for... things....

Hey!

This is the other Nirasaki Nick. I've met quite a few of you already at some point. If we haven't met though I'm 28 and from Kentucky. I came to Japan last year a week after the big earthquake. Last year I lived on the southern coast of Ibaraki-ken.

I transferred with Interac to Nirasaki about 2 weeks ago. I'm teaching at 3 elementary schools. I'm working on getting my driver's license because currently I have to get to my schools by bus. My apartment is not too far from Nirasaki station though, so I can get around some without a car.

I hope to meet up with you all soon.

Hello, my name is Andrew and Im a new ALT in the Minami Alps area. Been here all but 3 weeks.

Im 27 from Madison, Wisconsin originally and hoping this forum would help in finding new friends and upcoming events in the Yamanashi/Kanto area. Also hoping to find clubs or groups to join and meet people as well, especially Baseball and Kyuudo.

This is not my first time in Japan as Ive studied abroad in Nagasaki for one year back in 07-08. Its been quite a while since Ive been able to use Japanese again so it mine as well be my first time here heh.

Nice to meet you all.

Yea that'd be cool so far I know of no places of interest in Minami Alps and of course besides Eki-mae Kofu is one giant question mark as well.

Its time to get some of that 'fog of war' lifted soon.

Nah, it looks like only a handful of people know their placements yet.  Like, very few.

I didn't know I was coming to Hokuto until late May and didn't know the school until sometime in June I think.  And considering the state of our supervisor right now, it could be even later than that.  The supervisor when I came was actually helpful and organized about things.

The time-line on the new JETS:

I will get the files on the newbies this month, place them in June and once I have contacted each new JET I will introduce them to YETI.  So you should hear from them in mid June.

The BOE faxed me a packet to my school asking me to write a welcome letter for the new ALT, and on the front page her name was written there.
