Buying shoes!
« on: March 27, 2013, 03:18:00 PM »
Long story short, I need to buy some sandals for the upcoming summer.
I am a bit particular about my footwear and I normally buy abroad as there is a bigger choice than here in Japan.

I could go online and buy something but I would rather see and try some shoes.
So, any advice on stores in Tokyo that I could go to that would have a good range of shoes? What is your personal experience.
How about online shopping?

I have found a few from an online search that I intend to check out when I am in tokyo and I'll report back on them.

I've bought shoes from ABC mart in Tokyo before (Harajuku I think) and they were cheap and had a better range than here.
Wouldn't it be nice, to get on with my neighbours!

Just a late update.
I ended up going to two shops both which start at 28.0 or 29.0cm.

Big B in Gotanda was pretty good. They were slightly biased towards more formal shoes and the prices were on-par for Japan.

I also tried Kutsu no Hikari in Ueno, near okachimachi station. There is the main shop which deals mainly in formal stuff. However, just around the corner is their second shop which is much more casual. A pretty good range to be honest.

Fred, Loren and I will be staying at the Toko Hotel in Gotanda this Sunday, which is just down the street from Big-B, and since he's been looking for a pair of work shoes that fit him (pretty sure he's about 29cm), we will definitely check it out! Thank you!!  :-D
How do you feel about people who go ''Hadouken!''
