You going for it marc? What level?

I am sort of interested but I have a lot of other stuff on my plate getting ready to go home. If so I'd probably study for 3...even if I'd rather go for 2.
Students of mine involved in traffic accidents:

Since April 2013: 1
In 2012/13: 8

I was going to go for this july one but then realised it's on the same date as my sons birthday so i'll wait until december.
Wouldn't it be nice, to get on with my neighbours!

Yeah, I'll be gunning for N1. The beast is in my sights and I intend on taking it down with everything I've got. The basement scene from "Tremors" comes to mind.

As per usual I'm far behind where I should be with my Japanese. My studying even has dropped off so much in recent months.
Was aiming to try and take level 3 this summer but looking at a level 4 paper even there's a lot of confusing stuff.
Still thinking of gambling on level 3 , will fail almost for sure but that's the first level which is regarded as somewhat useful so....don't see much point personally of trying lower levels.

I'm considering the N3, just to freak myself out into studying more and to get a taste for the test.  I'll decide closer to the end of the signup deadline though.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU TOO BRO-NI!  :-D

Do itttt!! Motivation to study is always a good thing. N3 has incredibly useful grammar and vocab in it, so it would be beneficial for the rest of your stay here if you had an N3 level of J-go.

If you want to see what the N3 test would look like, here's a mock test I found online with notes from the blogger explaining each section.

I thought that the grammar and kanji I had to learn for N3 was 100% stuff I use everyday.  N2 had a mix of useful conversational stuff along with written grammar rarely used in conversation.  I mean, N2 is really important for a lot of reasons but N3 is really helpful to your everyday life if you study for it, I think.  Anyone around that level should definitely consider studying for it to help you get your fill of useful grammar.

Just a friendly reminder that today is the last day to sign up for the July 2013 JLPT.

Hop on over to http://info.jees-jlpt.jp/ and sign up online. The sign-up doesn't take too long.

And good luck to everyone in their studies, regardless of whether they plan to take the test or not  :-)

The world needs more nice.

My mom always gave me sprite when I felt nauseous. That was nice of her.

the original definition of nice, dating back to the 14th century, meant "foolish" or stupid. just saying, to you nice guys.

That's nice.

When I hear someone say 'nice', I sometimes imagine that they actually meant 'gneiss', and the conversation suddenly becomes quite entertaining.

Sometimes my mom would mix the sprite with grapefruit juice. That was very sweet of her. Your mother is definitely a sweety too though. Too bad ginger ale is gross  :-P

If you took the JLPT this year in Japan and applied online, the results just came out today. You can check by logging into your MyJLPT account via http://info.jees-jlpt.jp/

Keep in mind though that everyone and their お母さんs are checking at the moment, so if you can't view the site due to congestion, just wait a few seconds/minutes and you should be able to get through.
