Nice to see that you guys have a plan. Even though I won't be around after July, I'd say it looks good.

A couple of points: Don't you think March is a little early for karting? I'd say early April is a better time for it (or September) based on my personal experiences. You may want to consider switching it's dates with those of the Nash 500.

Also, sadly, I think the Group B JETs will be arriving in the Ken the same day as Ichikawadaimon, just as a heads up.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

That's a good point Matt. Go karting would be better in the warmer weather.
Ichikwadaimon does indeed clash with group B, but not a lot we can do. There will still be people in Japan who would want to come to it.

Don't forget the bake sale/volunteer xmas at the international center in December.  Also, I believe they have a volunteer Halloween party for kids (a great way for all the block leaders to encourage volunteering in the community....and candy!)

Kelly, thanks for that. The International centre bake sale is traditionally the second Saturday of December right?

I'm glad to see the cooking competition is possibly coming back!  It was a really fun event and I hope there will be more interest next year.

That course is kind of strict though. They really discourage people from eating magical mushrooms and throwing banana peels all over the place  :-)

Dates and location for our October events have now been confirmed too.

We are not going to be able to do an Archery event this September. With the number of 3 day weekends, sportsdays, culture days and so on, it will be tricky to have three events in September.

Due to a clash with the Paul Rusch Festival, we have moved the Autumn Pub Quiz to October 26th.
Keep your eyes peeled for it, as it will be Halloween themed. Details will follow in due time.

A lot of updates for you guys..... as with all of these events, we are working out the details before we do a full posting. But get those pencils out and fill those calenders!

November...
The shosenkyo walk has been changed to Yamanakako and more details will follow soon.
A date for Thanksgiving has been set and we are just awaiting confirmation of our venue booking

December...
Winter party will be held at Jinbee in Yamanashi shi

January...
Ski trip will be Jan 18/19th
YETI idol has had to move to late January due to various schedule clashes

February
There are some very preliminary talks about a Block 4 event in February, along with Ski trip II and a possible cooking event. As these are four months away, we haven't settled on dates and venues yet.

I think we all agreed that we should reach out to the Fujiyoshida side of Yamanashi. There had been passing comments and actual requests to represent that area more which I think is a fair point.

Is there a potential time set for Thanksgiving? I need to RSVP yes or no to a separate event, and Thanksgiving gets priority! I figure we are looking at afternoon/evening but I want to make sure.

EDIT: Never mind! I grew a brain and actually read the spaghetti.
