Help fight the Zombie Apocalypse

So.  My second and third year students are all slowly turning into zombies. They don't care to learn English, they don't care to speak it, they don't even try and take notes, let alone participate in any games/activities we try.  I've tried making activities etc that include things I think would interest them, but they still don't care.  My JTE doesn't know what to do either, and hell, she's a trained teacher.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep them from all turning into the undead?

I know this is JHS and it may not be possible, but maybe getting them out of their seats would wake them up?

Fuck, I've tried that too.  Started off the class with shiritori, running to different sides of the class for t/f, walk around interviews....they just still sit/stand there, doing nothing or putting in the least amount of effort.

if you do a sticker participation thing you could threaten to take stickers away.

not that grades matter...electricity works too

If they are to far gone all you can do is destroy the brain and burn the bodies

Get permission and take them outside for the activities.

Or do an all school scavenger hunt

Charades with movies and characters from Japan.

Make sure you put them/ and their desks if inside into groups

Have a boys vs. girls day

give prizes/chocolate.

English Karaoke contest with grand prize (this involves a week before heads up and re-enforcement from the teacher in HR...students bring cd and lyrics to read.  Get the portable mike and speaker from the A/V room.
Pandemonium ensues.
